PURA Organized campaigns, seminars, signature campaigns and rallies on Peace building among the youth by organizing them under Peace Groups.

PURA initiated a tailoring training center for Tsunami affected young girls at Sambasivapuram. Each batch contains 15 students of such category.

PURA’s cultural troop is mostly giving performances in Kanyakumari District, which is our working area. Performing folk art events like traditional dances with folk songs and street plays on social issues for awareness building and motivation.

An Exhibition was conducted in the Forest office premises in Aralvaimozhi on 21st March 2014. The exhibition was organized to create awareness on the varieties of trees, life and growth of trees and the uses of trees. School students were demonstrating tree saplings in the exhibition.

PURA has issued 128 coir machines with the financial assistance of CAF/GIVE2 Asia to the deprived women in 13 centers. Each machine has 4 beneficiaries in a family, totally 128 families and hence 512 women are benefited out of this project.

PURA with the financial assistance of CAF/GIVE2 Asia has started a Solar dry fish processing unit at Mondaikkaduputhur for the Tsunami affected fisher women. 50 women are benefited out of this project.
